With first-time cheek-pieces on Kiss For A Jewel (5/2 into 6/4 favourite) got off the mark on her fifth start in the www.tipperaryraces.ie Fillies Maiden.
For Moyglare Stud Farm and Dermot Weld the Kingman filly led and drifted left over a furlong out in the hands of Oisin Orr.
She then kept on strongly in the final furlong to defeat Dedillon by two and three parts of a length.
"It's nice to get her head in front and she had a few good runs and I was probably unlucky one of the days on her," said Orr (doubling up after his win on Cracking Name).
"She did it well; I was happy enough to take a lead on her for as long as I could and when I did hit the front she was just doing enough. Hopefully she will improve from that and hopefully she will take another step forward."
The Stewards informed Mr. F. Costello, trainer of Sin E An Sceal which was withdrawn by order of the stewards having refused to go to the start, that a repeat performance from his charge may render the animal liable to a suspension.
