A bit like his county's hurlers did at Croke Park, Kilkenny native Willie Mullins dominated the seven race card at Tramore with a treble, completed by Dani Catalonia s victory in the concluding Tramore Amusement Park Mares Flat Race.
Of course Mullins is a director at the Graun Hill venue and this three-timer was following on from last nights double. Patrick's win on Dani Catalonia added to the earlier gains for Closutton with the Emmet Mullins partnered pair Moveable Asset and Dysart Dancer
Dani Catalonia led over a furlong out before going on to beat Sitcom by a length and three quarters.
Mullins said: "I've been waiting for this race all summer but we wanted good ground. I'd suppose all the rest of them may have been the same.
"I'm delighted with that and she may go for a flat race and then maybe a hurdle.
"We'll try that before the winter ground comes in. I think she'll go to stud next year." (DM & EM)
