Kenya makes all for impressive win

Kenya justified his short price with the minimum of fuss in the opening seven-furlong maiden at Cork this afternoon.
Emmet McNamara sent his mount straight to the front and the 8/11 shot had his rivals at work passing the two pole in the Coolmore Ruler Of The World Maiden.
The son of Galileo galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a comprehensive length victory over Stellar Ecplise.
Kenya has been a promising third behind stable-mate Flag Of Honour on his debut at Naas ten days ago.
McNamara said afterwards:- "He had a lovely run the first day and came out of it and came forward from it well and was very impressive.
“I thought it would take a very nice maiden to beat him and it looked like a field where there might be plenty in with chances and you'd imagine all five would win a maiden.
"He handled the ground well and stayed particularly well. He'll have no problem stepping up in grade or trip."
