Keelaghan goes 1 better 12 months on
Runner-up in the race twelve months earlier, Keelaghan put the record straight in the Pricewaterhousecoopers Handicap Chase with a silky smooth length and a half success under Ruby Walsh. The chestnut son of Accordion was justifying well-backed favouritism in the process (11/4 into 2/1).
The fast-ground lover was in front before the last and he coasted up the run-in to beat Angels' Share by a length and a half.
Winning trainer, Tony Martin said: "That's a change of luck for Seamus. He is a real good patron. We've no real plans for Keelaghan, he'll go for another handicap chase."
