Keane's Prince wins
Trim based trainer Ger Keane admitted to benefiting from a slice of luck when his Monahullen Prince landed Ross Golf Club/Killarney Racegoers Club Handicap at Killarney today.
Monahullen Prince, under Rory Cleary, eventually wore down leader The Lady Granuaile inside the final furlong, to score by a length and a half. Afterwards, Keane admitted “I had intended running Monahullen Prince at Ballinrobe and forgot to take him out of today's race - I even forgot to declare his usual cheek pieces and tongue tie!”
He added “Monahullen Prince has now won seven times (six on the Flat and once over hurdles) and is a very consistent horse.”
