Kargali too strong for Rayeni
Kargali proved a game winner of the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh when getting the better of Rayeni
Johnny Murtagh got a good tune from the Luke Comer-trained colt inside the final furlong as he battled it out with the 6/4 favourite in the Group 3 contest.
Kargali had more up his sleeve in the closing stages to edge ahead for a three-parts-of-a-length victory.
"He's a horse that has had problems but he just turned the corner in the last two-and-a-half weeks," said Paul Kinane, representing Comer.
"He's a talented horse and hopefully we'll try and keep him sound. We'll see how he comes out of this before we make any plans."
