Jordan on the mark at Clonmel again
Brian Jordan saddled his only previous racecourse winner at Clonmel when The Tin Soldier scored here in June of last year and Powerstown Park was again good to the Wexford trainer as Pequeno Diablo prevailed under Benny Walsh in the Cashel Maiden Hurdle.
On his fourth winner on the racecourse proper, Walsh kept his mount going better than the big two in the market, Ordinary Man and Escudero to triumph in the very testing conditions by three parts of a length and two and a half lengths.
Winning owner Billy Bates said: "We were afraid of the ground and he'll get a break now until the spring."
