- Johnston and Fairley team up with Take Ten
Johnston and Fairley team up with Take Ten
English-based trainer Mark Johnston and jockey Greg Fairley enjoyed another profitable visit to Dundalk as Take Ten ran out the comprehensive three-length winner of the six furlong handicap at Dundalk at 9/2.
Take Ten, who made his all-weather debut at Kempton last time, appeared to relish the surface. Jockey Fairley said: "He's a big improver for being gelded. Again I was given an easy lead here. You might see more of us coming back.
Fairley is certainly putting in the miles by air and car as he commented: "I'm back over to Ayr for a ride in the first tomorrow then five hours in the car to Wolverhampton in the evening."
Fellow raider Noverre To Go from Tom Dascombe's yard won the battle for the minor placings by a neck from Banna Boirche Noverre To Go was backed from 10/1 to 7/1 during the day and sustained support on course saw his price shorten to 11/2.
