John Queally completed a double at Clonmel when Jet Setting Jim (5/1) stayed on well to win the bumper under John Gleeson.
Unable to land a blow when a well-fancied fourth at Listowel last week, the six-year-old was driven along in second approaching the straight and got past front-running Noble Talent a furlong out. The 8/11 favourite Royal Hollow had been looking dangerous in the slipstream of the leaders and threw down his challenge in the final furlong but was held by half a length.
Queally, successful earlier with Costanuci said: "He is a chaser and it was a bonus to win a bumper. It probably wasn't the strongest of contests but he'll probably go straight over fences - he is a real chaser. He'll get a break now and go chasing in the spring.
"It's been a nice day."
Owner Finbarr Walsh added: "I'm from Riverstick in Cork and had a winner at Fairyhouse in 2000 with Charlie Swan but it got thrown out. This is my first winner and I'm delighted!"
