Jioconde set for paddocks after success
Jolie Jioconde is set for a well-earned retirement after gaining valuable brackets in the concluding maiden at Dundalk.
Eddie Lynam 's charge had finished runner-up on her last three starts but made no mistake this time.
Keagan Latham got a good tune from her inside the final furlong to master Charpoy and record a two-length success.
"She deserved that and I'm relieved she did it," said Lynam afterwards of the filly who is in foal to the recently deceased Verglas.
"I thought she was going to win on Thursday (at Leopardstown) but I think she might have run into a good one.
"She's Group Three placed and now a winner so I think she can enjoy her retirement."
