Jim fixes it for Byrne
Jim Will Fix It provided amateur Stephen Byrne with his first winner when recorded a 20/1 shock victory in the Clonmel Oil Slan Abhaile INH Flat Race.
Byrne (21), from Cashel, made the decisive move by kicking his mount three lengths clear over a furlong out, and he kept on well under pressure to beat the flattering favourite Rolly Baby (7/2) by two and a half lengths.
Trainer Seamus Roche said, “He won a point-to-point at Kilsheelan three weeks ago, and will probably go now for a winners' bumper. His long term future is over fences.”
