Battle Of Jericho got off the mark at the third time of asking with a good front-running performance in the opening maiden at Leopardstown.
Seamie Heffernan bounced out in front on the 4/5 favourite and he asked him to stretch passing the furlong pole.
The War Front colt always looked in control even as his advantage was eaten into close home by the promising debutant Man Power
Battle Of Jericho had been third over course and distance on his debut last month before finishing fourth at the Curragh behind Ballydoyle stable-mate U S Navy Flag last time.
“He ran a lovely race here on his first run and then he ran a good race at the Curragh the last day,” said Heffernan.
“I had a good draw and he won well. He was idling and he has a lot of ability.
“The ground might be a little bit slower than they are giving but that's only my opinion.”
