- Jamie Another Fairyhouse Surprise
Jamie Another Fairyhouse Surprise
Having his first start since New Year's Eve 2007 and on his initial outing for local handler, Paul Stafford, Will Jamie Run caused a 33/1 shock in the Pre Book On Line For The Easter Festival 2009 Handicap Chase.
The ex-Stephen Mahon trained gelding headed favourite, Inoma James going to the last, and went away on the run-in under Conor Maxwell to beat What's In Front by eleven lengths.
Stafford has been training for the past three weeks in Rockfield Stables in Bellewstown. Of course he sent out Blueberry Boy to win the Grade 2 Craddockstown Novice Chase in 2006 from his Co. Dublin base.
For Maxwell this was a first winner since he scored on Hu Ha Jo in August last year. Being his fifteenth winner, his claim will now reduce from 7 to 5Ibs.
Will Jamie Run's win meant one punter won the Jackpot, receiving a dividend of E3,785.20. (EM)
