Jamadiel outstays rivals
Jamadiel s stamina proved too much for his rivals as he claimed the Frank Magee Memorial Chase at Downpatrick.
Ruby Walsh settled the Shay Slevin-trained gelding in mid-division before launching a run going to the last.
He kept on strongly to lead on the run-in and power away for an eight-length verdict.
"He was unlucky last time when second at Tramore. He just got boxed in and got out too late," said Slevin.
"He wants staying tracks and the uphill suits. He has been second before here and I would say he loves this place.
"We won nine point-to-points with him and he wants three miles plus. Hopefully the handicapper won't give him too much as he already got 9lb for finishing second twice."
