Sean O’Keeffe completed a double on the day at Limerick as Itsnotinit just got the better of Golden Cosmos after a protracted battle in the Parkway Shopping Centre Handicap Hurdle.
The Paul Nolan-trained gelding, who gained his only previous win in the 2m5f handicap hurdle on this card 12 months ago, just got on top in the closing stages of this three-mile event to score by half-a-length.
The principals pulled 16 lengths clear of Young Dev with Royal Rhythm completing the places in fourth.
Nolan said of the well-backed 5/2 favourite, “He is a horse who wasn't easy train and we picked this heavy ground for him. I'm glad he came back and did it for the boys at Christmas time and a festival meeting and we're delighted.
"Jennifer French, who led him up, is lucky to be here as she got a nasty bite tacking him up."
O’Keeffe was also successful earlier aboard Concertista in the featured BoyleSports Irish EBF Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase.
