The featured Kerry Group Steeplechase boiled down to a match between the Willie Mullins pair of Easy Game (5/6f) and Kemboy with the former making all and asserting to win this prize for the second year in a row.
Just the four horses went to post and both The Little Yank and Call Me Lyreen departed on the way around as Easy Game dictated over the two miles four furlongs.
He certainly wasn't advantaged by the weights as he was rated 6lb inferior to stablemate Kemboy and had to give him 6lb, however, he increased his margin on the run to two out and kept on strongly to come in by a healthy 11 lengths from Kemboy (5/2).
Easy Game gave Mullins and jockey Paul Townend a treble on the card following victories by Aghaboy (5/2) and Nikini (5/6f).
Mullins said: "Easy Game did it well, Paul said he was jumping out of his skin and left him behind at one or two fences. I think the plan is to go to Gowran for the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase.
"Kemboy's owners are keen to bring him to Far Hills for the 100th anniversary of the American Grand National. The race is over 2m5f and I'd love to send Easy Game, but he is AQPS (a French breed) and they're not allowed run in the USA."
