- Invisible Man slips his rivals
Invisible Man slips his rivals
Invisible Man maintained his unbeaten run for English trainer Ian Williams when easily winning the Latin Quarter Chase at Galway today, providing Williams with his first Galway winner since 2003.
Ridden by Barry Geraghty, Invisible Man raced prominently, led from two out before stretching clear, on the bridle, in the straight for an easy 11 lengths win over 100/1 shot Tory Hill Lad
Afterwards a delighted Williams stated “that is my first winner since The Prince won a claimer for me in 2003 – there's no point coming here unless you've the right horse!”
He added “Invisible Man did it very nicely and the reasonable pace of the race helped him gain confidence. I only have him two months and some might say it was a shame he didn't get into the Plate tomorrow (second reserve) but he wouldn't quite have the experience to win such a race yet. However, he has great potential, is a novice for this season and will be given a break now.”
