Three jockeys were in the wars at Limerick today although each suffered only minor injuries.
Michael Butler, a faller from the ill-fated Arviz in the handicap hurdle, was sent for precautionary x-rays on his back but is thought to be okay, Adrian Heskin was stood down having suffered a minor cut, which required stitching, to his knee following his fall from False Messenger in the opener while a sore Paddy Flood was stood down following a fall from Ag Dul Suas also in the opener.
In the bumper meanwhile Sean Tierney, rider of runner-up Rugby Dun De Biz, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip with 'excessive frequency and improper use' while Matthew Bowes, rider of the winner Caesar's Song was severely cautioned for his use of the whip.
