In-foal Sky wins at Bellewstown
Suburban Sky and Declan McDonogh prevail

The loose and subsequently withdrawn There's The Rain provided the drama at the start of the Guinness Inter Vintners Pub Challenge Race Handicap at Bellewstown when running away through a field of corn. Suburban Sky was the headline-maker at the end of the five furlong sprint though.
Harry Rogers' charge, off a 260 day break, pleased her backers at odds of 12/1 by scoring from Pillar Just a neck split them and Declan McDonogh rode Suburban Sky. Rogers also had the third home, Calm Bay.
"She deserved that and is in foal which I'd say helped her. It's nice for the owner as she was just beaten here last year. Declan was very good," said Rogers.
"She is in foal to Morpheus and has about eight weeks left that she can race."
