In-foal Furiosa bids for Listed honours at Naas

Ken Condon is hoping being in foal will eke out that extra bit of improvement when Furiosa tackles Listed company in the Queally Group Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial on Wednesday.
On the bare ratings, the three-year-old filly has plenty to find, but she heads for the 10-furlong test on the back of a first career success at Gowran three weeks ago.
Condon has seen a transformation in the daughter of Bushranger, who is in foal to 2013 Derby winner Ruler Of The World, and connections believe this is a chance worth taking.
"She's in good heart. Obviously on ratings she's a lot to do, but she is in foal and sometimes they can find significant improvement," said the County Kildare trainer.
"She's been giving us the right impression since her maiden win at Gowran and previous to that she was a good second at Cork.
"While on ratings we knew we are up against it, she's a filly in good form. The trip will be perfect, the ground will be fine and she's in foal. We are all realistic about where we are.
"Everyone wants a bit of black type and if she was placed we would consider that a great result." Bloomfield made a winning debut in promising fashion at the Curragh over a mile and a quarter earlier this month and her trainer Willie McCreery is happy to let her take the step up from maiden company.
"She's in good form. She's come out of her race well," said McCreery.
"The track and the ground will suit us. It was nice to get that bit of rain."
