The father and son team of Philip and Luke Dempsey recorded a shock win with Iknowwhereiamnow in the Huntington’s Disease Association Mares Handicap Hurdle.
The five-year-old had been placed a number of times but put a disappointing effort at Gowran Park last time behind her with this 25/1 success.
She was prominent throughout, and kept on well on the run-in to hold off Dynamic Allen by a length and a quarter, with Lady Ischia two lengths further back in third. Dragon Houdini and the staying on Deilginis dead-heated for fourth spot.
Philip Dempsey said, “She has a bit of an attitude and hung across a bit but battled on well. I’m delighted for the owners (Beattie family) who bred her themselves as they recently lost Dinnie’s Vinnie who was a great servant.
“We’ll see what’s coming up and find something for her.”
