Hardy Eustace's half brother Paddy Curry belatedly made it to the winner's enclosure for the first time, at Gowran today, winning the Golf Membership At Gowran Park 2010 Maiden Hurdle (division 2) under Paddy Flood.

A son of Pistolet Bleu, Paddy Curry raced prominently throughout, led before the third last before recording an easy eight lengths win over Present Diamonds

Afterwards winning trainer Dessie Hughes reported “Paddy Curry is getting the hang of things now and had a very good run at Ballinrobe the last day in a race that has worked out well. We'll see what the handicapper does now but he'll probably go handicapping again now.”
