Hogan on the mark again with Kate
Stephanie Kate supplied rider Denis Hogan with his second winner of the Christmas Festival at Limerick, following on from Drive On Jim yesterday when she wore down Darwins Fox to land the Sliabh Luachra Maiden Hurdle.
Darwins Fox looked all over a winner in the straight but he wasn't great at either of the last two obstacles on his way to a one and three parts of a length defeat.
Hogan said of the Charlie Swan-trained Stephaine Kate: "At the top of the hill I thought I was beat but as she showed the last day she does her best work late on."
