Heskin Magnificent for Hourigan
The opening Ballybride Mares Maiden Hurdle at Roscommon today went to the Michael Hourigan trained Amie Magnificent a seventh winner for the trainer's promising 7lb claimer Adrian Heskin.
The daughter of Mujahid chased the leaders, closed from the second last before moving through to lead approaching the final flight, staying on for a six lengths win over Sailon Silvergirl
Hourigan, who has spoken in glowing terms about Heskin on previous occasions, was not present for the win.
