Winner for Phillip Enright

Good ground and fences brought about improvement from Heron Heights as he made a winning start over fences at Kilbeggan tonight.
The 12/1 shot was given a confident ride by Phillip Enright as he travelled well to hit the lead on the long run to the final fence. The Herds Garden threw down a challenge at the line but the Henry de Bromhead-trained winner galloped on strongly on the run-in to post a six-length victory.
The winner had been well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse last time having been third when sent off favourite for a Wexford maiden hurdle on his previous outing.
“Phillip rode him in Wexford when he was very disappointing. He said the ground today made a huge difference to him and of course the fences — he loved jumping fences,” said de Bromhead.
“I'm absolutely delighted with him and he'll keep going now. He'll probably come back here for the two-and-a-half mile novice in mid-June.
“I'm delighted for his owner Barry Maloney who has been a great supporter of the yard.”
