Hercule Du Seuil made amends for a surprise defeat over the course and distance earlier this month, as he made all in the McHale Tiger Roll Beginners Chase.
Successful in Grade 2 company over flights, the Willie Mullins trained French bred finished second to Senecia on his debut over fences when odds-on.
Returned at 2/1 this evening (from 6/4), he was sent straight to the front by Jody McGarvey and soon went a few lengths clear.
Not fluent at the fourth last and again at three out, he had matters under control away from the next, going on to score easily by 13-lengths.
Returned the 11/8 favourite (from 11/4 early), Ballyadam had to settle for second under Rachael Blackmore for Henry de Bromhead, while Praire Dancer (10/1) was another nine-and-a-half lengths away in third.
Frank Berry, representing winner owner JP McManus, said: "He goes a good gallop and he's getting the hang of jumping which is a big thing for him.
"He learned a good bit here the last day and it was nice to get a second shot at a novice and get a bit more experience into him.
"For a Monday evening in Ballinrobe it was a good class of race. He missed the third-last but jumped well overall and he's learning on the job. He's an active sort of horse.
"He doesn't mind this ground but handles it softer as well. He'll tip away for the summer and we'll see where we end up."
