Henry survives enquiry
The Eddie Lynam-trained Captain Henry came out best following an exciting three-horse photo-finish to the 50-80 rated nine and a half furlongs handicap.
Pat Smullen 's mount (9/2-7/2 fav) just edged out Perfect Buttons by a head, with The Black Abbot only half a length away in third. The placings were only confirmed following a stewards enquiry. Belle Watling (seventh) was short of room as the two principals came close over a furlong out, and Tony's Treasure (tenth) was another to suffer as a consequence.
'He's tough and, although he won on good ground the last day, he likes a bit of an ease. He might have appreciated a faster run race, and we'll find him another handicap,' said Lynam.
