The three-year-old handicap over five furlongs saw Ginormous owned and trained by Micky Fenton, make the breakthrough in the hands of Seamie Heffernan.
Placed in similar contests at Naas and Tipperary earlier in the summer, the 17/2 chance got cover behind the leaders in the main body of the field and and was produced to lead over a furlong out. He kept on well to beat Emerald Harmony a first racecourse spin for talented pony-racing rider Patrick McGettigan, by a length and a half.
Heffernan said: "Mick doesn't usually give me instructions but said to get cover as it is important in the first half of the race with him. I'm not usually able to, but was able to ride to instructions today and it worked!
"Hopefully he can win another race now and it just goes to show you that Mick has only a handful of horses but the yard is in form and they're having a good time at the moment."
