Head Waiter wins again
Course specialist Head Waiter came home in front of the Owens McCarthy Claims Specialists Handicap Chase for trainer Eugene O’Sullivan.
Andrew Thornton who made most aboard the Lend A Hand gelding was strongly pressed approaching the last but were left in front when Hairy Molly and Shay Barry crashed out leaving the pair kept to go to score by a cosy eight lengths.
Winning trainer O’Sullivan said afterwards: “He’ll go for a two mile three chase on the first of the Listowel Festival, that trip should suit him.”
“He loves this place and he’s a stone better here than anywhere else.”
