Hayes seen to good effect at Galway
The feature race of the day The Tote Galway Mile EBF Handicap was won by Chris Hayes on Celtic Dane for his boss Kevin Prendergast for owners Gareth McCann and David Brennan.
Chris Hayes who is enjoying a wonderful season with 31 winners so far said afterwards, 'It's my first time to the win the race, it was a brilliant performance by the horse. I followed the right horses throughout the race and once he saw the hill he just took off. He was very unlucky in the race last year.'
