Hartnett has high hopes for Lancetto
Restricted trainer James Hartnett was delighted to see his five-year-old gelding Lancetto win the Pat Hawkins Memorial Hurdle at Naas under Paul Townend.
Hartnett said: "He's a nice horse. He goes on any ground except tacky. As regards future plans I think he's even better than today and maybe we'll go for a graded race."
Lancetto was sent off the 9/4 joint favourite after coming second to the progressive Jack Cool at Gowran Park. He beat joint favourite Oneeightofamile into second by two lengths. Henro Boy finished third, another five lengths back.
