Harrington/Berry Double-Up with The Bull
Jessica Harrington and Fran Berry added to the earlier success of Jumbajukiba when The Bull Hayes lost his maiden tag at the seventh time of asking in the Drumbarragh Stud (C & G) Maiden. The brace rewarded supporters of the Moone, Co. Kildare stable at odds of twenty six and a half to one.
The Bull Hayes is part-owned by John Hennessy, owner of Punchestown-bound Dundrum, and all connections are sure to have been thrilled with the way the son of Sadler's Wells bounded clear to account for market-leader, Pittoni by six lengths.
Harrington said: "The ground is the key to the horse and he is crying out for a mile and a half. I was afraid to look at the calendar to see where he would go until he won his maiden, it was very important that he did that. Fran said that he has grown up so much from last year." (EM)
