Trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon completed a double at Listowel today as his Diamond Dame caused a 25/1 upset to win the Low Low European Breeders Fund Mares Handicap Hurdle, under jockey Brian Hayes.
Hanlon was earlier successful with Hidden Cyclone under Danny Mullins and following his latest win stated “she is a Darley castoff and we always knew she was a good mare but we couldn’t get her right early in the year. She did seem to be peaking coming here.
“I’ll see what happens next as I’ve no plans.”
