Great day for Ted as Station gives him a double
An 87/1 double for Ted Walsh was completed in the very next race after Seabass famous Leopardstown Chase success when Colbert Station defied market weakness to take the Ryan's Event Cleaners Beginners Chase with Mark Walsh up in the J P McManus silks.
Colbert Station chased the leaders and improved to challenge entering the straight. He was ridden to lead on the run-in and kept on well to beat Far Away So Close by a length and a quarter. J P McManus' other runner, Spanish Auriga (7s this morning into 4/1) ended up in third.
Walsh said: "I thought he'd run well but I couldn't say I fancied him strongly.
"He jumped well and travelled well though. He missed 12 months before and hopefully now he'll be okay and keep going." (AM & EM)
