Grand Opera wins again
Grand Opera from the Gordon Elliott stable followed up on his recent win at Downpatrick on Sunday after he ran out a game winner of the Richard Power Private Clients Betting Handicap Hurdle in the hands of Barry Geraghty.
Winning trainer Elliott stated afterwards, “He did it well and he’s not a bad type of horse. He won at Laytown last year and he’ll probably go back there again this year.”
“He’s also entered in Roscommon on Monday but we’ll see what the ground is like as he likes the good ground.”
