There was a Grand National theme to Rolling Revenge rsquo;s win in the Coral.ie Exclusive Stable Talk Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown today, as the gelding is trained by Aintree hero Martin Brassil for owner Paddy Aspell, father of dual Grand National winning jockey Leighton Aspell.
Rolling Revenge was today ridden to success by Mark Walsh, who was again on board to help the son of Beneficial claimed his second career win, both this year.
Rolling Revenge lost his maiden status when winning at Kilbeggan in June and today added another win, when improving to lead before the final flight before in the end beating Tellthemnuttin by two and three parts of a length.
Numbersixvalverde’s trainer Brassil later stated “Mark got him relaxed although I thought he had got there a bit too soon but was going that well that he didn’t want to disappoint him.
"He’s a big striding horse and is suited by a galloping track. He jumped really well, and chasing should be his game. He’s from the family of Fortune And Fame.”
