Got finally gets there
Philip Rothwell continued his excellent run when the consistent and infuriating Got The Urge finally shed his maiden tag at the thirty first attempt when running out a convincing ten length winner of the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase.
Donal MacAuley rode the chestnut son of Snurge and he got to the front off a fast gallop entering the straight, he was soon clear, and went on to beat Mont Tresor
Rothwell said: "He is the most frustrating horse I've ever trained but he is also one of the most honest. It is lovely that he has finally stuck his head in front. I think they went too fast up front and it suited this fellow well.
"He deserved a lucky day and I'm delighted for his owner too, Joan Lambert. She is a great owner and she also has Current Resession with me. I think he is a very exciting horse."
