There was an exciting conclusion to the Boyle Beginners Chase at Roscommon with Got Trumped ‘short heading’ Konitho
With market leaders Email Rose (5th) and I’m A Game Changer (4th) failing to come up to expectations the way was left clear for something to step up.
Got Trumped (9/1) did just that in the hands of Paddy Kennedy, holding on from Konitho, who pressed strongly to the line.
J P McManus owns the runner-up, and he also had the third home, Arthur’s Quay. That fellow was eight and a half lengths further back.
“He’s improved a lot from his first run over fences last year,” said Kennedy on Jessica Harrington's victor.
“I was probably in front a bit too soon but the race fell apart and I kind of had to go on.
“He was gutsy from the last home.”
