The ground at Roscommon is Soft, Heavy in places following a dry day yesterday. There is a risk of up to 15mm of rain during racing today.
The eight-race National-Hunt card gets under way at 2.05pm. The Big Galloper is a major market mover in the maiden hurdle at 3.40pm. Charles Byrnes' five-year-old gelding is 5/2 from 14/1. Alfa Mix has shortened to 8/1 from 22/1 for the opening maiden hurdle.
Elsewhere on the card, Part Time Affair is very solid in the concluding bumper at 5.45pm. He is now 5/4 from 11/4. Due Reward is easy to back for the novice chase at 4.15pm. He now trades at 3/1 from 11/8.
The going at Cork, ahead of racing tomorrow, remains Yielding (on both tracks) following 1mm of rain. Showers are forecast today with a dry day expected tomorrow.
Clonmel races on Thursday and the going is now Good following 17mm of rain. There is a risk of a further 10-15mm of rain today and the forecast remains unsettled thereafter. There is uncertainty regarding a tropical storm on Thursday.
The ground in Gowran Park is Good ahead of meetings on Friday and Saturday. There is a status yellow rainfall warning in place today with up to 35mm of rain expected. The forecast is very unsettled for the remainder of the week.
