The going remains Heavy in Fairyhouse ahead of the eight-race card which gets under way at 11.55am. A mainly dry afternoon is forecast.
Henry de Bromhead's Cuneo has attracted plenty of support, on his debut over fences, in the beginners' chase at 2.25pm. He has been backed into 5/1 from 14/1. Insult also represents de Bromhead in this contest and has more than halved in price from 33/1 overnight. Steer Clear is a very solid favourite for the Ladies Supporting Susan Handicap Steeplechase at 2.55pm. Padraig Roche's charge was runner-up when last seen at Clonmel last month and now trades around 11/8 from 11/4.
Noel Meade 's Red Gerry has contracted from 7/2 to 15/8 for the 3yo maiden hurdle at 12.25pm.
Elsewhere, the ground in Punchestown is Soft to Heavy ahead of racing on Saturday and Sunday. A mainly dry day is expected with unsettled weather thereafter.
Cork also hosts a fixture on Sunday and the going is Soft. One Fit padded hurdles will be in use. Dry weather is forecast today with heavy rain due tomorrow.
