Goban Saor does the business at Tramore
Goban Saor certainly found favour with punters as he was backed from 100/30 this morning into 6/4 for the Guillemene Maiden Hurdle and he justified that confidence under Paddy Mangan at Tramore.
Mangan struck on aboard the in-form Edward O'Grady runner after three out and he held off the challenge of Granaruid by a length and three parts.
Nigel Anderton, representing O'Grady, said: "He deserved that. He had a couple of good efforts. He jumps well and liked the track and the ground. That continues our great run over Christmas."
Of course the Ballynonty outfit completed an across-the-card double with Jumbo Rio at Punchestown after that.
