Giselles Thunder convincingly justified odds-on favouritism in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden at Naas.
On outing number four the 5/6 shot made just about every yard of the running to win comfortably in the hands of Wayne Lordan.
The 78-rated performer beat Coins Cross by four lengths with a short head to Basharat in third.
Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell’s assistant, Feidhlim Cunningham, said:- “She was knocking on the door and was due her turn.
“She did that well. Obviously her first run was very good in Navan and we thought she would have probably won a maiden by now but it's good to get it done.
“Wayne thought that she moved better today than she did the last couple of times. She wants decent ground and she is plenty quick enough.
“We were hoping to get her sold after the first day and there might be a few more interested now after that.”
