Long-odds-on-favourite Roaring Bull gave Gigginstown a quick-fire double when impressing in race two at Tipperary - the two mile maiden hurdle for colts and geldings.

The four-year-old son of Milan won his bumper at 25/1 on debut at Punchestown back in April but the odds of reward were nowhere near the same today.

He was fully expected to cash in his first appearance over hurdles as he traded at 2/7.

Davy Russell was up and tracked the leader Cowboy Des Long in second. His mount closed four out and picked off that rival at the second last.

Roaring Bull travelled well to the last and readily stretched away on the run-in to score by seven and a half lengths.

Trainer Gordon Elliott said: "He was a big baby last year and hadn't been showing us much at home and that's the reason he was a big price on debut.

"He is still a big baby and will be a nice horse for next year." Cash In Mind who was a multiple winner on the Flat in France in 2015 and 2016, kept at it in second at 8/1 for handler Des Donovan.

Cowboy Des Long (9/1) dropped to third, a further three lengths back.
