Gem continues O'Brien's good day
Aidan O’Brien who saddled two winner’s at Royal Ascot today was back in the winner’s enclosure when Gemstone ran out a convincing winner of the Grant Thornton Race in the hands of Sean Levey.
Levey who made all aboard the 4/7 favourite, kept on well inside the final furlong to hold off the fast finishing Kissable by a length and a quarter.
O’Brien was on the mark across the water when Lillie Langtry who won the Coronation Stakes Fillies Group 1 and then Mikhail Glinka went on to complete a double for the trainer when winning the Queen’s Vase Group 3 under Johnny Murtagh.
