Trainer John Ryan is hopeful of Galway glory in the coming days and his Kylecrue which landed the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary today, is in line for the Galway Blazers Chase at that festival.
The son of Gold Well was ridden by Martin Burke and scored a length win over Springfield Grey
Afterwards Ryan stated "he won his point-to-point by a distance first-time out and then finished second over hurdles but afterwards lost his way a bit.
"He had a hairline fracture to his shin and had a year off and it has now taken a few runs to be back to himself.
"He'll run in the Galway Blazers next if he gets in and my other horse Foildubh, which runs on the flat at Ballinrobe tomorrow and is in good form, will hopefully get into the Galway Plate."
