Jordan Gainford celebrates his Wexford double

It was all change close home in the Jim and Kay Whitty Memorial Handicap Chase at Wexford as Bold Emperor emptied allowing Cushinstown Finest to get up.
This gave Jordan Gainford a double on the card as he also won race four on Dympnas Well
It was slow-motion stuff at the end of two and a half miles as the leader Bold Emperor put in a tired jump at the last and was out of gas on the run-in.
He paddled his way home but Cushinstown Finest and Bolbec tackled him on either side close home and it was the former who got up by three parts of a length at 9/1 for trainer Colin Bowe.
Runner-up Bolbec was an 11/1 chance and was a length and quarter in front of Bold Emperor (6/1).
"They went a good gallop and going to the first she was a little bit disappointed that she didn't get her own way.
"She ran a solid race in Gowran and that really stood to her today.
"She is a real stayer, but on that ground and with the stiff finish it suited her today.
"It's great for her owner Liam Carty who is a big supporter of the yard.
"I've three winners left now on my 5lb claim."
