Stand Off bagged a fourth career success today, landing Down Royal's Bluegrass Horse Feeds Rated Novice Chase for trainer Philip Fenton, jockey Luke Dempsey and in the colours of breeder John Power.
The son of Milan was well held at Grade 3 level on his previous run on March 5 and today scored by three and a quarter lengths from Big Debates
Afterwards Fenton reported “he's had a few problems and that is why he is lightly raced. He missed Christmas but let's hope he can make up for lost time.
"He was rated 125 over hurdles and seems like a horse that was going to make a better chaser. He's a fine horse and there should be a bit of improvement to come from him.
"Fairyhouse or Punchestown could be a possibility. He's learning his trade and he learned a good bit today. He might not end at Punchestown, we might keep him on the go for a bit longer."
