Trainer Denise 'Sneazy' Foster recorded her biggest career win at Navan today as her Lily's Rainbow caused a 16/1 upset in the Listed Heritage Stakes, thus continuing the remarkable run of front-running winners at the venue today.
Lily's Rainbow, which had filled fourth spot in last month's Irish Lincoln, made all under jockey Bill Lee and maintained her gallop inside the final quarter mile for a three and a quarter lengths win over Brendan Bracken.
A thrilled Foster, who has just five horses currently in training, later stated "she's a completely different filly this year and is so much more relaxed both at home and in the way she runs.
"I can't believe it but the one thing she has is a huge heart, and she kept finding more and more. I was really happy with her in the last few weeks but I was just hoping she could finish third (to gain valuable black-type)."
Lily's Rainbow's front-running win was following on from other all-the-way winners Charlies Missile Pretty Perfect and Spader while the other winner on the card, 20/1 shot Hyzenthlay raced close to the pace before striking for home two furlongs out.
