Co Cavan trainer Anthony Mulholland recorded his third winner of the new season when his Forjoethepainter landed the fairyhouse.ie Book Online Handicap Hurdle, causing a 20/1 upset under Mikey Fogarty.
In May the winner had finished to 25/1 stablemate Valley Of Stars at Down Royal but improved one placing today, scoring a second winner in three days for Fogarty, who has recently returned from injury.
Mulholland later stated “he's been a bit disappointing the last couple of times but this past week he's been great at home and his work was good.
“He has his days - one day he'll be good and then he'll disappoint but I thought today he'd be hard to keep out of the first four.
“He's not a bad horse in this grade and hopefully he can follow up. We could also send him back over fences at some stage.”
