For sale Charlie Bear now eyeing Listed Race

The Shane Donohoe trained Charlie Bear further enhanced his market value with a taking performance to justify 4/6 favouritism in the Elusive Pimpernel Race at Dundalk this evening.
The son of Myboycharlie was an easy maiden win at the venue last month but despite attaining a rating of 92, failed to sell in the interim.
He turned out in the same colours of owner Greatest Thing Syndicate this evening and, running effectively with the 'for sale' sticker, quickened smartly in the closing stages to beat Five Claw by four lengths.
Afterwards Donohoe stated "if he doesn't get sold after that he'll go for the Listed race at Lingfield on March 13th.
"Leigh (Roche, winning jockey) was impressed and said he is getting better and better. He doesn't know where he'll stop. He's a complete professional. Leigh feels he has the speed to win over six but gets a mile. He said he could be anything
"What I loved about him was how professional he was."
